Xmas in pictures

One of my favourite Christmases ever - low stress, great food, great family and lots of fun Christmassy activities ; )

I bought Rai some new pants at Craft 2.0. After putting them on,  he went running to his room and after a few seconds came out in this outfit, singing....."Zumba zumba zumba!".

Carol singing on Christmas Eve - we had salads, KFC, Christmas cake from Rudolf Steiner fair, and icecream with jelly and LOTS of songs.
My cousin Rose's WTF face ; )

Rai and Luka on Christmas morning - Rai was thrilled with his presents. He got a seven-Bakugan set, water slide, Paul Jennings books, a huge bag of lollies for his birthday lolly scramble, pavement chalk and a spray can of Dettol (he is always asking me to buy Dettol at the supermarket, and I refuse...but dang, their marketing is good, because he is obsessed with germs).  Luka got a fresh clean nappy and a promise of plenty more to come. Lucky kid.

We went to my parents house for a delish Christmas lunch of ham, BBQed chicken and salmon and salads, with trifle and beautiful berries for desert. The kids (and Seiji) played on the waterslide a bit, had lunch and then did a fairly massive treasure hunt to find their presents from my family. Another  tradition is born.
Rai with a couple of his fave presents - the Bakugan (lower left) and his chef's outfit from his cupcake making kit.
Random photo - I told Rai that Luka loves looking at patterns, so Rai is trying to look like a pattern in this photo - cute!

Another gift winner - Rai's Nerf gun - he has found an alternative use for the bullets.

We hosted a Christmas party in the evening for friends - it was potluck so there were more lovely salads,  BBQed sausages and yakiniku, and tiramisu for desert. I highly rate seeing friends on Christmas along with family - makes for an ideal day.

Oh, and one more tradition I have started - last week I sent Seiji and Rai off to buy me a nice set of lingerie from the Bendon store in Queensgate. Me thinks this should become an annual event. (I tried to take a photo of my bra, but it looked too pornographic, so I can't upload it here ; ) ).

Happy Christmas everyone!
