Chess

We are home again after 6 weeks of brilliant holidaying. We arrived this morning after an overnight flight. To avoid going to sleep too early, I just finished a chess game with my husband. I won. Hmmm. Maybe jet lag combined with my usual vagueness provided some excellent strategising skill. However, I think the fact that I didn't care and sacrificed left, right and center helped.

Usually I hate chess, and my feeling hasn't changed. I don't like for someone to have to lose - especially not my darling other half. I guess I don't play competitive games very much. The thrill of winning was outdone by the sadness at making someone lose.

How pathetic.

  1. Hello, I just found your blog while searching for somewhere to buy Kokka fabrics in Tokyo. I saw your post in November about your frustration in trying to find them. Any luck finding a stockist? I'm heading to Tokyo next week and would love to buy some Kokka goodness (amongst many other things on my list!). Any ideas?

Looks like you had a lovely time in Aus. The weather is so beautiful at the moment.
